Jack and Beckie Gurley have been growing on their small, certified organic farm in Sparks since 1995. In addition to restaurant sales, Calvert's Gift Farm hosts a small CSA program and participates in several area farmers markets. Calvert's Gift Farm serves as a mentor farm for Future Harvest-CASA's Beginner Farmer Training Program.

Calvert's Gift Farm is certified Organic by the Maryland Department of Agriculture. We do not use any synthetic fertilizers, herbicides, pesticides or fungicides on our farm. Diversity of product is a key to our success, growing over 60 varieties of fruits and vegetables each season. We use extensive crop rotations and cover cropping to improve our soils and rely as little as possible on outside inputs.
